The White Nothing [tmth061]
"Music for Spaceports"? Perhaps so! Our friend Tom from Germany sent us this suite of slow, ambient piano tracks, which arrived at perhaps the most nerve-racking period TTHQ had ever experienced. What a joy it was to listen to these tracks and simply..slow..down...
When life seems too much and peace seems impossible to find, how often it is that we are simply going too fast, driving ourselves too hard, and never letting ourselves take even the breath we need to live. Those are the times when music like this can give us the slow pace of breath, the meditative moments we need to rebalance our minds and spirits.
Use this music they way we used it at TTHQ. Savor each and every note as it passes. Be truly in the moment as you listen, breathe deep and center. By the time this recording is finished you may find life a lot easier to handle.

piano droplets fall on calm synth chords
If I was to guess, My feeling is that this set was inspired by a combination of Thursday Afternoon and "1.1" from Music For Airports, both by the amazing Brian Eno. This set accomplishes exactly what it sets out to do via the description above. Amazing, both from its use as furniture music, or for active listening. The droplets of piano notes on the bed of soft synths makes for a truly relaxing and inspired experience. Highly recommended!
